From Thursday 27 November to Sunday 30 November, step into a precinct buzzing with tough rigs, off-road gear, caravans, camper trailers, outdoor displays and family-friendly activities. Surrounded by food and drink, lawn games, premium viewing areas and high energy crowds, it’s the perfect place to explore, discover and get inspired for your next road trip.

At the centre of the action is the purpose built Tyrepower 4WD Track, where rigs take on challenging terrain and show what they’re made of across four big days. With interactive activations, hands on experiences and everything from camping set ups to off grid essentials, Wanderers Basecamp, brought to you by Caravan &amp; Camping SA, is a must see part of the event.

Get ready for a brand-new adventure at the bp Adelaide Grand Final with the launch of Wanderers Basecamp, presented by Caravan &amp; Camping SA. Nestled in Rymill Park alongside the iconic Adelaide Street Circuit, this exciting new precinct brings together the adrenaline of motorsport with the spirit of outdoor exploration.

Wanderers Basecamp will be a vibrant hub for fans to experience the best of the caravan, camping, and 4WD lifestyle, complete with interactive displays, hands-on experiences, and inspiration to hit the road and discover South Australia’s stunning regions.

Where Motorsport Meets Adventure

The Tyrepower 4WD Track is a purpose-built offroad course built to thrill and educate. Watch leading brands put their vehicles, rigs, caravans and campers to the test across steep rock climbs, log steps, water crossings and uneven ruts. The Australian Driving Institute will also be on track, sharing expert recovery tips and techniques to help you handle off-road conditions with confidence.

The Campground – where your wander starts

The ‘Iron Summit’ is the world’s steepest portable 4WD ramp.
&nbsp;
Guests are invited to experience a passenger ride in a stock standard Isuzu D-MAX or MU-X as it is driven up a 45°/100% gradient incline.
&nbsp;
Once it reaches the top of the “Iron Summit”, a hydraulic system will rotate the entire top deck platform 90° so the vehicle and its guests are now staring down a 45°/100% descent which the Isuzu vehicles will proceed to drive down, returning its guests back down to terra firma.
