Experience the thrill of Defence power on the ground and in the air
Get ready to be amazed as the Australian Defence Force (ADF) brings an incredible mix of flying action and ground displays to this year’s bp Adelaide Grand Final.
For the first time ever, look to the skies as a P-8A Poseidon from RAAF Base Edinburgh performs a stunning flypast, showcasing the cutting-edge capabilities of Australia’s multi-mission maritime patrol fleet right here in Adelaide.
On the ground, enjoy live music from the Australian Army Band – Adelaide, featuring their high-energy rock/pop ensemble. Plus, meet the ADF Careers team at Defence Corner to discover exciting opportunities across the Navy, Army and Air Force.
Come along, enjoy the action, and experience the power and pride of Australia’s Defence Force.

ON THE GROUND
The Air Force will showcase a range of airfield engineering and security equipment, offering visitors a closer look at the technology and expertise that keep operations running smoothly.
Team Army is also back this year, bringing their high-performance green machines to Defence Corner and revving up the excitement with on-track entertainment and displays of sheer mechanical power.
Leading the charge is the iconic 6×6 Land Rover “Armygeddon”, powered by a supercharged 5.7-litre LS1 engine, alongside crowd favourite Project Digger, a heavily modified 1978 Ford LTD featuring a supercharged 547 big block. Also returning is the impressive Mack Super-Liner truck and race trailer.
Adding to the ground power, visitors can explore a line-up of land combat hardware, including an M113 Armoured Personnel Carrier, a Hawkei Protected Mobility Vehicle complete with weapon systems, and an engineer display showcasing mine detection capabilities.
IN THE AIR
Look to the skies, the Air Force is back!
All eyes will turn upward this year as the Air Force takes flight above the Adelaide parklands in a thrilling display of power, precision, and skill.
During the event, catch the roar of an Air Force fast jet showing off its incredible manoeuvrability, and don’t miss the Pilatus PC-21 from the Roulettes performing breathtaking precision moves that will leave you in awe.
