CHAMPIONS, TITLE HOLDERS AND EMERGING TALENT TO FEATURE IN 2026 NAPA SPEEDWAY IN THE CITY LINE-UP

Stars of all ages will descend on Adelaide this November, with the nomination lists unveiled across all five categories set to entertain the crowds at the NAPA Speedway in the City from 26 – 29 November.

Thursday and Friday nights see the ultimate battle for glory in the NAPA Sprintcar Invitational, supported by the Formula 500s and SSA Modified Sedans for the first time, collectively drawing the best drivers and teams from across Australia.

Saturday and Sunday at the bp Adelaide Grand Final opens the door for the next generation of Speedway greats who will compete in the NAPA Speedway Junior Cup Invitational during the day in both the Junior Formula 500s and SSA Junior Sedans.

Current Australian Sprintcar Champion Jock Goodyer will be one of the favourites tipped to win in a share of a massive $140,000 prize pool in the NAPA Sprintcar Invitational, the event showcasing the fastest cars with drivers drifting their way around the temporary oval circuit with millimetre precision under-lights.

The Tasmanian won his second national title earlier this year and it follows his success in the 360 and Formula 500 categories where he also became the Australian Champion.

Goodyer will compete against former Australian Sprintcar Champions Marcus Dumesny, Lachlan McHugh and James McFadden who was the first confirmed competitor in June.

Local South Australian racer Lisa Walker will be a home crowd favourite, having worked her way up through dirt karts and Formula 500s throughout her career to the fierce Sprintcar field.

Additional international competitors will be announced closer to the event.

The smaller framed Formula 500s, and the SSA Modified Sedans will compete for the first time at the NAPA Speedway in the City, bringing fresh excitement, family rivalries, and non-stop racing between title holders.

Current 2026 Australian title holder Terry Rankin, and his cousin Tim Rankin who are both former Victorian title winner’s will compete for the Formula 500’s own $10,000 prize purse.

Queensland siblings, Amanda Chaffey and Boyd Chaffey will also be in the hunt for glory, alongside South Australian Corey Jones who comes into the event in top form, recently claiming 3^rd in the Australian championship.

In the SSA modified Sedans, current Australian Champion Dylan Barrow returns from racing in the USA, and Supercars race winner Cameron Waters’s brother Jarod Waters make for exciting additions to watch closely.

Australian Champion for 2026, Lachie Burke will compete in a strong Junior SSA Sedans field, including Lawson Clarke who is the current champion in three different states and son of former Australian Champion Max Clark.

For many, it will be their first experience racing at the NAPA Speedway in the City, but it will be their best opportunity to shine at Australia’s largest domestic motorsport event.

Junior 2025 NAPA Speedway winner and 2026 Victoria Stampede winner Cruz Farrell will star in the Junior Formula 500s field with tough competition from current South Australian AIDKA Dirt Karts – Junior Light title holder Max Cook, and a mix of other young female and male drivers.

The NAPA Speedway in the City takes place within the bp Adelaide Grand Final on a 342-metre temporary speedway with a massive $140,000 prize pool, which includes $25,000 from naming rights partner NAPA, up for grabs in the NAPA Sprintcar Invitational.

The 2026 bp Adelaide Grand Final takes place from 26–29 November.
