It’s VALO Adelaide Grand Final Eve and it’s certainly looking like the start of Summer with the weather forecast!

Spectators are spoiled for choice when it comes to good viewing spots but some of the best places to see the on-track action only require a general admission ticket.

TURN 1: For the start of the race, there are few better places to be than at the approach to Turn 1, lining the fence between the Pit Straight overpass and the Chicane. Here, general admission ticket holders get to see 26 thundering Supercars battle tightly together to beat each other into the first corner, having just roared off the starting grid.

TURN 3-4: The stretch between Turns 3 and 4 gives spectators the chance to see the after-math from the battle through the chicane. It also showcases how drivers grapple the entry into Turn 4 – one of the most difficult on the circuit, as drivers need to brake uphill, and prepare to turn into a 90-degree corner.

BROCK STRAIGHT: With plenty of shade, grass and space to sit either side of Brock Straight, it is a good place to sit back and take in the sounds of the race cars. It is also where they can see the cars at their fastest, as they reach speeds of up to 250km/h.

BRABHAM STRAIGHT: The inside of Brabham Straight is one of the most popular places for general admission ticket holders to stake out a viewing spot, thanks to the notorious nature of this part of the circuit. Never a VALO Adelaide Grand Final weekend goes by without at least one unfortunate driver making a mistake and hitting the wall at Turn 8, making this spot the best on the circuit if you want to see car carnage.

TURNS 9-11: Fans who want to take a good photo or video of their favourite race car on their phones should seek out this section of the track. It is one of the slowest parts of the track with easy, close access for spectators, enabling them to get a good snap without needing a top-notch camera.

TRACKSIDE: The VALO Adelaide Grand Final’s newest precinct is located betweens Turns 12 and 13. It is free to enter for all ticket holders and showcases some of the best of South Australia’s food and beverages, enabling fans to indulge in the shade while taking in the action.

SUPERCARS PADDOCK: Access to Supercars Pit Paddock is free for all ticket holders on Thursday, but costs an extra $10 a day over the remaining three days. Wander the area behind the Supercars pits and stand at the back of each team garage to get an up-close-and-personal look at preparations.
