bp Adelaide Grand Final

calendar

13 Jan 2026

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship has been run and won, with Chaz Mostert claiming a long-awaited title win in dramatic circumstances at the bp Adelaide Grand Final.

After 13 seasons in Supercars, Mostert will carry the #1 in 2026. And he will defend his title with a new car and new team name. Walkinshaw Andretti United becomes Walkinshaw TWG Racing, with McLaren F1 team boss Zak Brown and his United Autosport entity exiting the championship-winning squad’s ownership mix. Walkinshaw TWG Racing will be switching from Ford Mustangs to the new Toyota GR Supras next season, leading Toyota’s entry into Supercars.

There will be five GR Supras on the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship grid, with Mostert and teammate Ryan Wood remaining at the rebranded Walkinshaw TWG Racing. Brad Jones Racing is also making the switch to Toyota from Chevrolet, with new recruit Cameron Hill joining Andre Heimgartner and Macauley Jones.

With Toyota joining Ford and Chevrolet, there will three manufacturers in Supercars for the first time since 2019.

FACTORY TEAM SWITCHES

Toyota’s entry into Supercars isn’t the only change amongst the factory-backed teams, with Ford and Chevrolet set for key swaps in 2026.

Triple Eight Race Engineering will switch to Ford and run two Red Bull-backed Mustangs for Broc Feeney and Will Brown – a return to Ford for the team for the first time since 2009, having run General Motors-backed Holdens and Chevrolets since 2010. The team will also expand to three cars, with the SCT Motorsport entry that was run from Brad Jones Racing moving to Triple Eight Race Engineering with rookie driver Jackson Walls.

With Triple Eight Race Engineering moving to Ford, Team 18 will become the factory team for Chevrolet with Anton De Pasquale and David Reynolds remaining with the team.

Ford will have the most cars on the 2026 grid with 11 Mustangs split across five teams – Triple Eight Race Engineering, Grove Racing, Dick Johnson Racing, Tickford Racing and the Blanchard Racing Team.

Chevrolet will provide eight Camaros from Team 18, Erebus Motorsport, Matt Stone Racing and PremiAir Racing, while there will be five Toyota Supras from Walkinshaw Andretti United and Brad Jones Racing.

NEW FACES ON THE GRID

There’s a generation change in Supercars with former champion James Courtney and Bathurst winners Will Davison and Nick Percat stepping down from full-time drives into endurance co-driver roles.

New faces on the grid are full-time rookies Zach Bates (Matt Stone Racing), Rylan Gray (Dick Johnson Racing), Jobe Stewart (Erebus Motorsport), Jayden Ojeda (PremiAir Racing) and the aforementioned Walls (Triple Eight Race Engineering).

Stewart will become the second driver who hails from Mount Gambier in South Australia on the 2026 grid, alongside 2025 Supercars grand finalist Kai Allen, who will remain at Grove Racing.

In other moves, James Golding switches from PremiAir Racing to Blanchard Racing Team; Hill departs Matt Stone Racing to join Brad Jones Racing; Jack Le Brocq returns to Matt Stone Racing after a stint at Erebus Motorsport; and Declan Fraser is back in a full-time drive at PremiAir Racing.

The 2026 Repco Supercars Championship kicks off with the Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20 to 22 with the champion to be crowned at the bp Adelaide Grand Final on November 26 to 29.
