bp Adelaide Grand Final
12 Nov 2025
The bp Adelaide Grand Final is set to deliver an all-new motorsport feature this November, with the Penrite All-Stars of Drift — headlined by American world champion drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Japanese tire-shredding legend Daigo Saito — taking over the iconic Adelaide Street Circuit, a multi-directional, high-speed layout built for big-angle entries, wall runs, and tandem proximity.
Twice per day across all four days of the event, fans will witness a world-class drift showcase as international champions Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Daigo Saito go head-to-head on a purpose-built drift course designed for angle, speed, and spectacle. They’ll be joined by Australian drift heavyweights Jake “Drift Squid” Jones and Jordan Sanderson, unleashing smoke, style, and signature drift theatre in the heart of Adelaide.
A true global icon, Vaughn brings his trademark wild-angle entries, ultra-close tandem battles, and “full send” energy to Adelaide.
A Formula Drift and World Drift Series champion, and the first American ever to win a D1 Grand Prix exhibition event, Gittin Jr.’s high-octane style and viral drift content have earned him a massive worldwide following.
The bp Adelaide Grand Final marks his first-ever drift appearance in Australia, coinciding with 40 years of motorsport on Adelaide’s streets.
From the outskirts of Tokyo, Daigo Saito is revered for fearless “wall-kiss” drifts, deep angles and monster smoke clouds. The only driver to have ever claimed both the D1GP and Formula Drift championships, a champion at the sport’s highest levels, Saito is celebrated as one of drifting’s most precise, and most spectacular, showmen.
South Australia’s own Jake “Drift Squid” Jones returns home from repping SA on the global stage.
A true hometown hero, Jake connects the energy of global drift culture with the heart of South Australia’s motorsport community.
Joining him is Jordan Sanderson, behind the wheel of the RTR Mustang, representing the spirit and style of Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR Vehicle, linking Aussie talent with international drifting icons.
Fans can follow all the action live from grandstands surrounding Pit Straight and nearby spectator zones. Barry Sheene Pit Straight is the top vantage point, offering direct views of the start, finish, and key corners of the Penrite All-Stars of Drift course. General Admission fans also enjoy prime visibility near Victoria Park Racecourse.
The Penrite All-Stars of Drift show is one of many spectacles fans will be counting down the days to see, including the NAPA Speedway, the BOOST MOBILE AUSX Supercross Grand Final, concerts from Lenny Kravitz and AC/DC, and the all-important championship-deciding Supercars battle, all included in a general admission ticket.
Vaughn Gittin Jr. said: “I am so pumped to head down under to the bp Adelaide Grand Final later this month. It’ll be my first time visiting and drifting in Australia. This has been a long-time dream of mine, and I cannot wait to be drifting a Mustang RTR on the iconic circuit in Adelaide.”
Daigo Saito said, “Hello, I’m Daigo Saito. This November I’ll be coming to the bp Adelaide Grand Final with Vaughn Gittin Jr. The car I’m bringing is a Toyota GR Supra with a NASCAR engine. I’m very excited to be there and to meet everyone — please come to the event!”
Jake Jones shared in the excitement, “As a proud South Australian, I’m pumped to represent our local drift scene on the world stage, right here at home”.
Jordan Sanderson said, “To drift the streets of Adelaide alongside icons like Vaughn, Daigo, and Jake is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we’ll be pushing the limits to make every session unforgettable for the fans.”
Bp Adelaide Grand Final Chief Executive, Mark Warren, said: “We are pumped to have this exciting new motorsport show feature on-track at the bp Adelaide Grand Final.”
“Our event has become a fan favourite, and we’re always looking for fresh ways to welcome international talent and deliver unforgettable experiences for our crowds.”
“This drift show will be one of many great highlights during our new Grand Final format and may challenge our Supercars drivers in their iconic smoke-wielding championship celebrations.”
