NAPA SPEEDWAY EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The South Australian Motor Sport Board (Promoter), in collaboration with Sprintcars SA and Speedway Australia, is excited to announce the return of the NAPA Speedway in the City, to the 2026 bp Adelaide Grand Final.

The NAPA Speedway provides the ultimate opportunity for Speedway to be displayed in a spectacular event. The 2026 NAPA Speedway program will consist of the following events.

  • Thursday 26 to Friday 27 November 2026 – The NAPA Sprintcar Invitational (Sprintcars) and the NAPA Speedway Class Invitational (Formula 500 and Modified Sedans).
  • Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026 – The NAPA Speedway Junior Cup Invitational for both Junior Sedans and Junior Formula 500.

All sprintcar events will be conducted under the Sprintcar Control Council of Australia Racing Rules, Regulations and Specifications, Speedway Australia and supplemented by the relevant NAPA Speedway Supplementary Regulations as advised.

All sprintcar drivers must hold both a current SCCA competition licence and Speedway Australia licence (AA Sprintcars) to enter any of the above-mentioned NAPA Speedway events. All other drivers must hold a current Speedway Australia licence.

The NAPA Speedway Class Invitational will be conducted under the racing rules & regulations of Speedway Australia and any Invitational sub regulations. All drivers must hold a current Speedway Australia licence and be a member of a local Formula 500 or Speedway Sedans Australia affiliated association prior to competing in Australia.

All cars including visiting international cars must conform to all Speedway Australia rules and specifications and be registered via an affiliated association before competing.

The NAPA Speedway Junior Cup Invitational will be conducted under the racing rules & regulations of Speedway Australia and any Invitational Supplementary Regulations. All drivers must hold a current Speedway Australia licence for their relevant category, and all vehicles must be registered to the relevant divisional bodies (Speedway Sedans Australia or Formula 500).

NAPA Sprintcar Invitational (Sprintcar) drivers will be competing for an overall prize pool of $140,000 across the two nights of racing.

NAPA Speedway Class Invitational (Formula 500 and Modified Sedans) drivers will be competing for an overall prize pool of $10,000 per category across both nights of racing.

There is no prize money associated with the NAPA Speedway Junior Cup Invitational. Alternate ‘prizes’ may be allocated.

The NAPA Speedway seeks expressions of interest from those who wish to compete in the above events. Expressions of interest are to be submitted to NAPA Speedway by completing the online form below. Any questions or to confirm receipt of your submission email motorsport@adelaidegrandfinal.com.au

The selection of competitors will be at the discretion of the Promoter in consultation with the NAPA Speedway Organising Committee.

Successful applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable entry fee as outlined below per car. Payment details will be provided with nomination / acceptance documentation.
